Halloween is a western traditional spirit festival to worship the dead, originated from the new year celebration of the ancient Celtic.People use food to worship anchors and good spirits and to avoid evil ones at the same time on Halloween in order to pass the Winter peacefully.
This Thursday,Sino-Canada Elementary School held the celebration of Halloween.Early in the morning, children came to teachers’ offices with the clothes they prepared and asked “Trick ortreat! ” Teachers came up with the candies they prepared given to these little devils.
Inorder to celebrate Halloween, our children spent a lot of time to dress up asghosts, genius, witches and cat ladies...We also can see lots of pumpkins,spiders were hanging in the webs and many kinds of posters in the classroomsand hall. All of these made the whole elementary school department immersed ina mysterious atmosphere.
Of course, on this day,not only are ourchildren dressed up, but also our cute teachers. They changed the clothes,painted on the face and celebrated Halloween with their students.
At 10:45, all our primary students and teachers came to the roundhall and played the “Trick or treat”.Our Principal Wu, foreign teachers andjunior high school department teachers and students have prepared a lot ofcandy to entertain the lovely kids.
In the afternoon,our foreign teachers Miss Maria and Mr.C are alsospecially prepared handmade snacks and drinks for children.After a wonderfulmovie,our Halloween party is ended.Looked at our children tired but excitedface,we agreed to celebrate the next Halloween together.
